Dr Urfan Dar MD was born in India and pursued his medical degree at the University of Kashmir. In 1990 he moved to the U.S. with his family. Following that, he completed his internship at East Tennessee State University and underwent residency training in Anesthesiology at Texas Tech University. His residency was at Texas Tech University, which is renowned worldwide as a prestigious pain centre, and he received mentorship from Dr Gabor Racz, a highly regarded pain expert. Over the years, Dr Dar has emerged as one of the leading pain specialists in the San Antonio region. Urfan Dar MD is a former CEO & President of Omni Spine Care LLC and has now joined Spine Care and Pain Management of San Antonio LLC.

Dr Dar has been practising privately in San Antonio, Texas, since 1994. Alongside his private practice, he also serves as the medical director of Theda Oaks Surgery Center. His area of expertise lies in employing advanced techniques to address various chronic and cancer-related pain conditions, utilising cutting-edge pain control procedures. Recognised for his excellence, Dr Dar has been honoured as one of the top 70 Pain Physicians in the country by BECKER’S Ambulatory Surgery Center. Additionally, he has been consistently nominated as one of San Antonio’s finest physicians for five consecutive years.

He was voted as one of the top Physicians in San Antonio, specialising in the treatment of chronic pain and cancer pain using leading-edge pain control procedures. With over 25 years of experience in interventional and medical pain management practice. In 2023 Urfan Dar MD was appointed as CEO & President of Spine Care and Pain Management of San Antonio LLC.His practice is accepting new patients and is in the network with all major insurance plans.
